Rawhide's stiffness and light weight have made it the traditional leather choice for drum heads, shields, moccasin soles and many buckskinning projects. Rawhide has been de-haired and cured, but not tanned. Average size is 18-20 sq. ft, and the weight is 4 to 6 oz.
